I Told You So! Gold Passes $3000 an Ounce
My post “Gold Never Goes Out of style” was on the money!
Here’s a reason you should be reading my blogs. I make you money, aside from being right most of the time. (Nobody’s perfect). When I wrote my post in April 2024 “Gold Never Goes Out of Style,” gold was at around $2,300 an oz. A year later, it’s over $3,000 and rising. The estimate is it will go to $3,400, but my bet is shit is getting bad, and it will go higher than that.
Because of the bad decisions from our government, specifically under Biden and Trump, we have used the dollar as a weapon against other sovereign nations, mostly Russia, and they aren’t taking it too well. The Global South, which is all the shithole countries we bully around and sanctioned to prevent them from using our international SWIFT banking system to move dollars, have been getting together (BRICS) to avoid using the dollar altogether, which would be devastating for us.
Right now, the default currency for the world is our dollar. We can print as much as we want, based on nothing, and WE and the world has to take it, because what else could we use. That’s changing. Russia, China, Iran and many South American and African countries are using their own currencies to buy from each other, bypassing the dollar. How do you think we can give Ukraine a couple hundred billion dollars? All we have to do is print it. We don’t have to create it with actual goods or services or gold to back it. We sell treasuries notes to other countries who buy them with our dollars. As long as they don’t try to sell the notes, we’re okay, but God help the day when they all start dumping them.
Then, when most countries start using as few dollars as possible, reducing rhe demand to rubble, how are we going to be able to borrow dedicate a trillion dollars to war every year. We won’t be able to borrow the money and add it to our 34 trillion dollars deficit. I’m no economist, so I’m not going to get into fine details, but common sense (if you still believe in it) t.ells you we are fucked if we keep using the dollar as a weapon and scaring the bejeebers out of the world. I’d hang onto my gold.
So, that being said (for a little distraction and escape), “Too Decent to Die,” my new novel is rockin’. Sexy, violent, thoughtful. Complex emotions backed with simple actions in a Sam Spade noir style revenge plot. I’ve been getting five star reviews on Amazon. Wouldn’t mind a few more sales & reviews from my relatives and friends (hint). Ebook is $2.99, so no big cost here. Guaranteed, if you like thriller crime novels with a little spice, you’ll really like this one. Buy it here.
Oh, here’s something. I created this video using an artificial intelligence created avatar and an AI video program. I’m new at it, but it only took me four or five hours to learn and do it. I’m no techie, so if I can do it, how hard can it be. Here’s the clip below if you missed it.
I really got pumped thinking about how, in a few years, everything I write can be turned into a movie. Just upload the book or play and out comes your film. That’s another prediction, and you don’t have to be a genius to figure that out.
The only problem is, when AI does everything except cut your toenails, how is everyone going to survive with no jobs. I foresee a universal income in the works; horror of horror to the socialist-hating. greed mongers. Or if not, worldwide hordes of the hungry and desperate with guns, creating revolution everywhere. Enemies at the gate. I mean who is going to buy a ticket you your movie with no cash?
I gave a talk at the Estelle Manor Historical Society a few weeks back, where I introduced my non-fiction, Scoundrels & Seafarers. The book is heavily influenced by what privateers and pirates did to fund the growth of New Jersey and support Washington’s Colonial Army, without which we probably would have lost that war, and be driving on the left side of the road. Many Amazon five star reviews on this one. If you are a Jersey resident or native you will be surprised about what you don’t know. Loaded with interesting historical gems and great insights into the lives of the pirates that sailed our coast and raided our beaches. You really should have this in your library. Buy it here
Last, my new non-fiction about Rebecca Estell Bourgeois Winston is on its way. This is an analog project meaning it is old school research. Except for the Noyes Museum website with Stockton State College, there is little online about the Estells and especially Rebecca, who was New Jersey’ first female mayor. Again, fascinating what I didn’t know.
The Estells arrived from England in 1671 and acquired 271 acres in what is now Monmouth County. That land was sold in 1687 by John Estell, Daniel’s son, who then acquired approximately 20,000 acres of property, about 7,000 of it from another land grant by the English King covering much of what is now known as Estell Manor and Dorothy, Mays Landing, Buena, Richland, Hammonton, & Milmay. The family disappeared in 1933 after Rebecca died childless. Amazing what went on in our area that we had no idea about. I’ll keep you updated.
Meantime, I predict some dire economic times ahead. Stash that gold!! Here’s the previous gold post for you to review.
