✏️ Just wanted to keep you updated!
I'm upgrading the site and wanted to let you know what's going on.
I just wanted to drop you a note letting you know that Lou’s Place has been doing well, and I am starting upgrade it by adding features like voice recordings of the posts so you can listen as well as read or listen on your electronic device. I have also begun creating videos, like the one I did for “James Earl Jones as Paul Robeson,” and the upcoming “The Making of Driller Killer,” which I worked on way back in ’76. Of course, adding Greg Zyla’s incredibly knowlegeable Car Collectors posts are a great addition.
Coming Soon!
I started this newsletter/blog for several reasons, number one, for something to do with no intentions of monetizing it. I hate just sitting around, and I love to write. Secondly, I wanted to leave a record for my grandchildren so that when they grow up they can get a feel for who I was on a personal level. A visit with Papu, so to speak. I think most of us would have loved to know more about our parents and grandparents as people. Also, many of you are classmates and friends, and I like engaging with you.
Also, like Bob in the movie, “What about Bob?” “I need, I need, I need.” I need a better speech to voice program I’m using a basic program that leaves a lot to be desired. I need a better video editing program. This open source editor is so glitchy it has cost me hours and hours of extra time. Eventually, I’m going to need a new laptop. This one is ancient. Plus. It’s nice to see that you appreciate me enough to dish out a dollar or two for my effort.
So to that end, I am adding a tip jar at the end of my posts. If you don’t want to commit to a paid subscription, that’s perfectly understandable. So many are asking. But if you like what I am doing and can afford to throw a few bucks in the pot, one time, that would be great.
To my friends who have already taken out paid subscriptions, thank you so much. Your support is appreciated…bigly.
I hope you are all well, and keep up the good fight (whichever one you’re fighting). Especially you fightin’ Irish!
Best regards,
Lou Mascolo
