😒 Where Have All the Peaceniks Gone, Long Time Passing

We Boomers have to be renamed the Bomber generation. We can't get enough of blowing shit up.

Preliminary Note: I’m sure this is going to get me in a lot of trouble, but people have to speak up.

I don’t know what happened to us. Well, that’s a lie, I definitely know, and it ain’t pretty. There we were in the Age of Aquarius, bra-less, free-lovin’, draft card burnin’, rock-your-ass off, Woodstock travelin’, pot smokin’, LSD droppin’,  anti-war protestin’, primo youth of America.

While we partied, all those volunteer military enlistees and unvolunteered draftees were sent to the slaughterhouse of Vietnam and 58,220 of them never returned. Not to mention the thousand or so unaccounted for POWs that disappeared years later.

I mean, the War was broadcast every night on the only three channels we had. We could get a televised view of the battles taking place, all the horror, and see all the coffins taken back by air freight to Dover, Delaware covered in American flags to be delivered back to their loved ones. And for what?

To stop communism, as if it were AIDS. Communism is an economic/political philosophy, just like Capitalism, it’s not a disease, although some believe so--on both sides.

What an idealistic and intelligent, compassionate generation we were.

We got lied into that war.  The excusese for initiating it was the Commie destruction of one of our ships in the Gulf of Tonkin in 1964, which never happened. The truth finally came out almost twenty-five years later. In the early 2000s, nearly 200 documents were declassified and released by the National Security Agency (NSA) that admitted it.

The government, military and main stream media got great lessons on how to handle war propaganda for the next wars, though. They figured out how to present it to us, the US commoners. No more draft. No more network broadcast of live battles, and the dead soldiers coming back in coffins--out of sight, out of mind.

Then of course, we had the warmongering oil millionaire Bushes surrounded by pathological neocons that brought us the next three wars. Of course, Grandpa Prescott Bush was a Nazi supporter , so no big surprise.

Operation Desert Storm resulted in the slaughter of thousands of retreating Iraqi soldiers as they fled the battlefield. We saw the pictures. The reason for the war—up until then ally, Saddam Hussien tried to exert control over oil and to create an alternate currency to the the dollar as the world's reserve currency. Yet the government has kept silent on these factors, You think Iraqi’s were going to get the Kuwait oil fields or mess with our greenbacks. Uh-uh, that’s a  no-no. Those were our oil fields.

Fortunately, not too many Americans were killed, only a few thousand, (of course that’s too many, dammit) but we saw no battlefield action on TV, and only censored, embedded news reporters were allowed, and, please, no caskets on TV coming from Iraq. Plus, no draft, so the parents of the sons and daughters of America didn’t have to be worried.

We did get to see some great TV fireworks of the bombing of Baghdad that were televised, long distance when it first started. So exciting!

Next, onto Afghanistan to get Osama Bin Laden, who escaped almost immediately from his hideout in Tora Bora. But since we were there, what the hell, why not kill those nasty, Muslim Talibans and drone a few wedding parties, even though they promised to turn over Bin Laden. For all you skeptics, I’m not making this up. Here’s the mainstream ABC TV Report. All they asked is for proof that Bin Laden actually did it. Ridiculous request, right?

That gave us 20 years of war— the longest war in American history, and we had to run out of there with our tails between our legs, just like Vietnam.

In the meantime, we sandwiched in the second Iraq war, Operation Enduring Freedom, (you would have to laugh, if the name weren’t so deadly hypocritical). It was another war based on a gigantic frikin’ lie.

Remember yellow cake? Remember General Colin Wilson telling us about it? Remember Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice warning us about nuclear disaster from Iraq “…But we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.”?

And Department of War, Donald Rumsfeld, of “We don’t know what we don’t know,” fame.

Remember how they told us Iraq was involved in 9/11? Iraq never had any nukes and was never remotely involved in 9/11. All lies.

Now they feed us Ukraine. Or should I say they feed the poor Ukrainian men and women into the meatgrinder that is the indomitable Russian army. (Ask how Napolean and Hitler fared against the Bear)

So far around 100,000 Ukie soldiers (probably more) killed and God knows how many wounded, and we, the US taxpayer on the hook for over a hundred-fifty BILLION dollars. That’s the bill our kids get stuck with.

The thing is most of America have no idea of how this all started. All they know is that big bad Russia invaded the Ukraine. I mean the Ruskies did it for no reason, just because they are just a small step above murderous apes and need to be destroyed.

No mention of the fact that we coordinated a coup on the Ukrainian government led by our own Under Secretary of State, Victoria “Fuck the EU” Nuland and her neocon, warmongering cabal.

That’s right, in 2014 we spent $5 billion to initiate a coup against their DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT of Ukraine. Of course, their president was a crook, but he favored Russian, so he had to go. We put in our own big crook to take over until Zelensky, the biggest crook, won the election for President in 2019.

Ukraine has for years been ranked as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. According to Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, as of 2022, the country ranked 116th out of 180 (that means only 64 countries were more corrupt. How else does a TV comic like Zelensky accumulate millions of dollars-worth of property in Miami, Israel and around the world.

You have to wonder how many secret, offshore bank accounts he and his buddies have. We don’t even ask them to account for the money we give them. No audits. Our Congress stopped an accounting of our money.

Does any of this sound familiar to you? Probably not. They don’t advertise that part. They also didn’t advertise that the Ukrainian army was infested with neo-Nazis. They have a history of Nazism. Just for fun read about WWII Stepan Bandera, lionized as a nationalist hero in Ukraine.

He was a Nazi sympathizer who left behind a horrific legacy. Bandera led the Ukrainian Insurgent Army that killed thousands of Jews and Poles, including women and children, while fighting alongside Nazi Germany against our ally then, the Russians. Who, by the way, lost over 27 million on the way to defeating the Nazis.

The current Nazi affiliated Azov Brigade along with other military units were ethnically cleansing Russian-speaking citizens in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions areas by shelling, bombing and killing them for 8 years.

In response, those Ukranians regions voted to be annexed by Russia by a whopping 87%.  The Neo-Nazi’s had built up an army and were ready to invade and take over those parts of Ukraine by force.

Then of course Zelensky was pushing for inclusion in NATO, which was a big red no-no for Russia. That would have put nuclear weapons a stone’s throw from  Moscow. Sort of like missiles in Cuba. We didn’t stand for that did we?

That is when Putin stepped in and put a stop to it. Hence this war, which could have been stopped months after it began.

The Minsk agreements were a series of international agreements which attempted to end it all.  Under pressure from us the USA and the UK, they were never implemented. We later found out from German Chancellor Angela Merkel they were just a stall tactic to give Ukrainians time to build up their army again to continue the aggression.

Since then, Ukraine has been a boon for us. President Joe Biden flat out said, if Russia invaded Ukraine, we would blow up the Nord Stream pipelines which fed cheap Russian gas to Europe We denied it, but  Seymour Hersch blew the whistle on us. We still haven’t admitted we did it.                                                                                                  

Hersch was the one who exposed the My Lai massacre in 1969, in which between 300 and 500 unarmed Vietnamese civilians, mostly women, children and old men, were murdered by our American troops, so he is a pretty credible journalist.

In response to Russia’s actions, we instituted draconian sanctions against them, froze 300 billion dollars of theirs, kicked them out of SWIFT international banking and tried to shut down their economy and confiscated everything we could of theirs around the world.

We have been sending billions and billions to Zelensky and company since then, much of which is to buy our outdated military equipment so we can replace it with up-to-date equipment for ourselves, in turn making our defense industry incredible fortunes.

Meantime, Europe has to buy our much more expensive LNG gas shipped across the Atlantic and is going broke. But they keep taking take money from their own coffers to feed the Zelensky crowd to pay for more tanks, artillery and military equipment, which immediately gets blown to shreds by the Russians.

Did you hear about any of this? Probably not. There has been a gagged order on the main-stream-media to tell you anything except what has been approved as the party line.

Again, another war based on lies.

I don’t get it. How can so many of my fellow Americans get bamboozled AGAIN! We’ve been down this road. We are such chumps. Feed us “we do it for freedom and democracy” and wave the flag and Americans go gaga!

When this war got started, I immediately came out against it on social media, and I was accused of being a Russian troll and anti-American. That’s how they silence you. Accuse you of bullshit.

In any case, there is so much more to this, but I wanted to put this small history of what happened down because I want to be able to say I told you so when people finally come to their senses. Peaceniks wake up!

The RS-28 the Sarmat is considered one of the deadliest nuclear missiles in the world.The RS-28 Sarmat, can carry 24 Avangard hypersonic nuclear missiles and is “claimed to be completely immune to any current or prospective missile defense systems.” It will take only one “Satan” (or perhaps two) to put everything out of existence on most of the US northern-east cost and convert it into a pile of smoldering radioactive waste.

We have nothing like it. This ain’t your grandaddy’s atomic bomb.

NOTE: After I wrote this, the Israeli/Hamas war started, where Hamas beheaded 40 babies, OOPS, BIG LIE, no babies beheaded, but we are sending billions and aircraft carriers anyway.

Now our Secretary of Treasury, Janet Yellen says we can afford to fight Russia and China, too. And now we’re attacking Iran in Syria. It never ends.
