About this site

Now, having officially retired, have decided to record some of the ancient special memories and adventures I’ve had along the way as well as comment of current events as I see them. If you look at my post, “If you don’t write it down,” you’ll understand where I’m coming from. I’ve never been a steady “get a job, work thirty years and retire.” kind of guy.

I never had the patience to stay in one place. I’d try something out, if it didn’t pan out, I moved on. Consequently, I’ve had an enormous amount of diverse experiences and adventures, and I put them down here for family, friends and anyone who finds them interesting. Some are small very personal themes, some are the large successes I’ve had, others things I just found interesting.

Unfortunately, I never made the “A list” crowd, but I hung around them and sort of basked in their glow, which was cool. My granddaughter saw some of my website postings asked me if I was famous. My wife chimed in, “He is almost famous,” which I refined to “Almost almost famous.” Life takes some unexpected turns.

I have previously posted many of these on a previous blog site and have transferred them here. I hope you enjoy these thoughts and experiences. Some of them are long reads for those of you who like details. This substack is free, but if you want to help a retiree make it to the end zone, and you can afford it, drop me a buck or two. Also, feel free to comment of course, and please share.

Here’s my bio website for those who don’t know me, and want to find out more.

Enjoy!
